MGB collaborates with prominent Italian companies
SELANGOR, 1st September 2023 – MGB Berhad (“MGB” or the “Group”), a construction and property development solutions provider and subsidiary of LBS Bina Group Berhad, today announced that its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, MGB International for Industry (“MGBI”) has entered into a memorandum of collaboration (“MOC”) with Nordimpianti System S.R.L. (“Nordimpianti”) and MCT Italy S.R.L (“MCT Italy”).
Under the terms of the MOC, MGBI will explore and collaborate with both Nordimpianti and MCT Italy in relation to coordinating, refining, automatizing and utilizing digitalization technology to enhance the efficiency of machinery and optimize operations for producing Industrialised Business System (IBS) precast concrete products within MGBI’s factory in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In addition, MGBI intends to collaborate with both Nordimpianti and MCT Italy for consultancy and training on know-how to automate precast concrete production lines, and utilize Artificial Intelligence-driven concrete technology.
Nordimpianti is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of machines and equipment for the production of prestressed concrete elements, primarily used in residential, civil, industrial and infrastructure construction applications. In addition, it provides consultancy services to the construction sector.
Meanwhile, MCT Italy is an Italian incorporated company that has established a reputation for the supply of customized precast mixing plant & concrete distribution systems all across the world. With over 55 years of experience, MCT Italy focuses on delivering Artificial Intelligence-driven concrete technology that enables customers to achieve the most efficient precast production possible by minimizing operational errors as well as reducing waste and optimizing costs.
The signing of the MOC took place in Chieti, Italy, MGB Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Richard Lim signed on behalf of MGB while Nordimpianti was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Gian Piero Gagliardi and MCT Italy was represented by its President Mr Lamberto Marcantonini. The signing was witnessed by MGB’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Wong Tack Leong and MGBI’s Chief Executive Officer Mr Lau Chee Tat.
MGB Executive Vice Chairman Tan Sri Ir. Lim Hock San said, “We look forward to working with both Nordimpianti and MCT Italy, and exchanging the wealth of knowledge between each other. Nordimpianti and MCT Italy are very experienced in developing advanced automated production line machinery, which we will utilize at our factory and hence, the significance of our collaboration cannot be understated.
