SELANGOR, 6 December 2024 – MGB Berhad (“MGB” or the “Group”), a construction and property development solutions provider and subsidiary of LBS Bina Group Berhad, held a roof topping ceremony for its Idaman Cahaya 1 development at the project site in U12 Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan today. The event, which was officiated by MGB Group Executive Chairman Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Ir. (Dr.) Lim Hock San, marked the completion of the said project’s building structure phase.
MGB has been emphasising on the use of industrialised building system (“IBS”) pre- cast concrete for all its construction projects and Idaman Cahaya 1 is of no exception. The usage of IBS slashes construction time by up to 33% and reduces reliance on manual labour by up to 31%. Currently, MGB’s IBS factory in Nilai and its mobile plant in Alam Perdana are capable of producing IBS pre-cast concrete panels of up to 6,000 units of residential properties annually. Using its IBS pre-cast concrete technology, MGB has completed more than 12,000 units of properties to date, with a further 3,000 units under construction. Separately in August of this year, MGB completed and delivered vacant possession of Idaman BSP, consisting of 1330 units of properties under Rumah Idaman MBI initiative. These completed and delivered units form part of MGB’s commitment to build up to 10,000 units of Rumah Idaman MBI within the state of Selangor.
Speaking at the ceremony, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Ir. (Dr.) Lim said, “The roof topping ceremony is an important milestone that commemorates the completion of the building structure. We look forward to completing the development in a timely manner, and ensure a smooth delivery of the properties to the respective home-owners. As we complete each Rumah Idaman MBI development, we also look towards achieving our goal to provide more affordable housing for Malaysians living and working in the Klang Valley.”
