Datuk Wira Lim Hock Guan (“Datuk Wira Lim”) was appointed to the Board as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company on 1 August 2014 and was re-designated as Executive Director on 5 July 2016. Subsequently, Datuk Wira Lim was re-designated as Group Managing Director on 1 August 2021. He is the Chairman of the Risk Management Committee and a member of the Sustainability Committee of the Company.
Datuk Wira Lim holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Tennessee Technological University, USA. He began his career as a civil engineer before venturing into property development.
He has more than 30 years of extensive experience in the field of property development and construction. He was appointed as Executive Director of LBS Bina Group Berhad (“LBGB”) on 6 December 2001 and was re-designated as Managing Director on 1 March 2021. On 14 January 2022, he was re-designated once again as Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LBGB. Datuk Wira Lim oversees the LBGB Group’s projects and is one of the major driving forces behind the successful implementation of its developments in the Klang Valley. He also sits on the Board of several subsidiary companies within the LBGB Group and is a member of the Sustainability Committee in LBGB.
Under his leadership, the Group has undertaken numerous initiatives to digitise its operations and processes — from streamlining internal workflows to implementing cutting-edge technologies aimed at enhancing the customer experience. Additionally, he is known for his strong commitment to sustainability. Under his executive direction, the Group has actively promoted sustainable practices throughout its operations.
Datuk Wira Lim is also actively involved in community work and has participated in several non-profit organisations. He currently serves as Vice President of the Malaysia-Guangdong Chamber of Investment Promotion. He is also a qualified sharpshooter, certified by the National Rifle Association, Washington D.C.
