Selangor, 21 July 2026 – MGB Berhad (“MGB” or “the Group”), a leading construction, property development and Industrialised Building System (“IBS”) precast concrete manufacturer, as well as a subsidiary of LBS Bina Group Berhad, announced that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, MGB International For Industry (“MGBI”), has secured an additional direct award from ROSHN Group Company (“ROSHN”) for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (“MEP”) and Finishes Works for the Marafy Al Arous development project in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (“KSA” or “the Kingdom”), further reinforcing its growing presence in the Middle East’s largest construction market.
This contract, valued at approximately SAR41.02 million, (equivalent to approximately RM44.67 million), covers MEP and finishes works for 75 villa units within the Marafy Al Arous development and carries a completion period of 10 months, encompassing mobilisation, engineering development, construction, testing and commissioning, and final handover.
This latest contract builds on MGBI’s earlier direct award from ROSHN for the construction and engineering works for the same 75 villa units under the Marafy Al Arous project, valued at approximately SAR32.98 million (equivalent to approximately RM35.91 million). With this additional contract, the total value of MGBI’s contracts relating to the Marafy Al Arous 75 Villas Project has increased to approximately SAR74.00 million (equivalent to approximately RM80.59 million), giving MGB’s International Division a confidence boost in its ability to continuously secure projects within the Kingdom consistently. Additionally, the award also affirms ROSHN’s continued confidence in MGBI’s project delivery capabilities.
More importantly, the latest award solidifies MGB’s strategic expansion in KSA. Since commencing operations in the Kingdom in 2023 through its involvement in the manufacturing and supply of IBS precast concrete products and installation services, MGB has progressively strengthened its presence in the Saudi construction sector, as the Company looks forward to secure larger construction projects and explore opportunities for property development in selected localities.
