MGB Berhad (“MGB”) has officially launched its AI Leader Development Program on 2 April 2026 in conjunction with its Raya Aidilfitri celebration, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey toward strengthening its digital capabilities and preparing its workforce for the evolving technology landscape.

The six-month program is designed to equip a selected group of employees with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence (“AI”), enabling them to explore innovative ways to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support smarter decision-making across the organization.

Through this initiative, MGB aims to cultivate a pioneer group of AI practitioners and departmental champions who will lead the adoption of AI-driven solutions within their respective teams.

A Structured Journey Towards AI Capability

The AI Leader Development Program follows a structured learning framework that combines classroom training, practical demonstrations, coaching sessions, and real-world implementation projects.

Participants will gain exposure to key areas such as AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, AI-Assisted Process Design, and responsible AI practices. The program also emphasizes the importance of data governance, ethical considerations, and verification of AI-generated outputs to ensure that technology adoption remains secure and responsible.

To support participants throughout the program, structured coaching sessions will be conducted to help them navigate technical challenges, refine their applications, and effectively integrate AI tools into their daily workflows.

Turning Knowledge into Practical Impact

A key highlight of the program is the Capstone Project, where participants will apply their learning to address real operational challenges within their departments.

By identifying repetitive processes or operational bottlenecks, participants will explore AI-enabled solutions that can improve efficiency and enhance productivity. These projects are expected to generate practical examples of AI application within MGB, demonstrating the potential impact of intelligent technologies in day-to-day operations.

Driving Transformation Through People

Supporting the implementation of the program is a dedicated AI Taskforce Committee, which will oversee governance, coordinate infrastructure support, and monitor the progress of participants throughout the program.

Professional training providers will also work closely with the participants through coaching sessions, ensuring they receive the guidance needed to adopt AI responsibly and effectively.

“As technology continues to reshape industries, organizations must equip their people with the skills and confidence to embrace change. The AI Leader Development Program reflects our commitment to investing in our workforce and fostering a culture of innovation where technology enhances human capability and drives better outcomes,” said Puan Noor Fansyurina binti Muhammad, Independent Non-Executive Director of MGB Berhad.

By nurturing internal AI leaders and encouraging experimentation within a structured and responsible framework, the company aims to create a foundation for sustainable innovation and long-term competitiveness.

As the program progresses over the coming months, the insights and success stories generated by participants are expected to inspire broader adoption of AI-enabled solutions across the organization.
